1: Introduction
*************************

Welcome to the world of- well, nowhere. The story has no specific setting- only a time period.
The game has the story in it- it isn't worth repeating here.
This is a world with many secrets and enemies. Be careful while exploring it.
Sword of the Dragon is a text-based RPG. Unlike most RPGs, there is no wandering around.
To get to the next area, all you have to do is defeat the enemies. However, you can return to
any completed areas and fight enemies one at a time.
And the ultimate weapon will be available late game, but it is impossible to save after you get
it. This weapon, the Dragon Sword, (NOT THE ONE IN NINJA GAIDEN) is said to have the power of
a trillion dragons hopped up on espresso.

2: Installation
*************************

Download both programs to your calculator.
Run prgmSWORD
Select "New Game" from the menu.

You must select "New Game" if you have not yet saved a game, due to a list that must be created
when you do save. The game will save as it explains your mission, when you quit, or when you train.

*************************
3: Starting your Quest
*************************

Read the above first to learn how to start up the game properly.

Once you choose "New Game", the simplistic story will be displayed on the screen. When it asks you
for your name, put it in. (It will be registered as Str1 "String 1", and feel free to change it when
you need to.) Afterwards, it will ask you to choose a weapon. You can choose:

Sword- Accels in AT
Shield- Accels in HP
Staff- Accels in MP and IN

However, with strengths come weaknesses.

Once you choose one, the game will start. Your mission will appear on the screen. At first, it says that you must
train in the forest. Choose MISSION to start it. It looks like you have to train, but you must choose MISSION.

You will have several choices in a menu. You can view your stats, train, take on your mission, or save and quit.
Your Stats include:

HP: Hit points. When they reach 0, you die.
MP: Magic points. Use them to cast spells.
AT: Attack. How much damage you deal with one attack
IN: Intelligence. Affects critical hit ratio, dodge ratio, certain spells, and resting

The enemies will only have two stats.

HP: Visible to you. When they reach 0, the enemy will die and you will power up.
AT: Invisible to you. Determines enemy attack strength.

You might want to choose the SAVE AND QUIT option, if you want to resume the game later. Then, start up the program again
and choose continue to start off right where you were when you saved.

Whenever you defeat an enemy, your character grows stronger. You know that this is happening when the words "Power up!"
appear. The stronger the foe, the better the power up.

4: Missions
*************************

This is the meat of the game. A mission contains five battles in a row against randomly made enemies. The more missions
that are completed, the stronger the enemies can be. You cannot replay missions, because that is what training is for.
The final mission is a bit different, as you must defeat four enemies, with only HP recharges (no power ups) until the end.
When you clear the last mission, you will win! There are five missions total.

*************************
5: Training
*************************

This is a mode where you can battle one enemy at a time in order to power up more. Since you must clear an area before
you can train in it, you must clear the first mission before you can train at all. This sounds pointless, but try beating
this game without training.

When you beat the first mission, you can start training. You can fight against the enemies that you beat in that mission.
Area 0 is the first mission, Area 1 the second, and so on.

*************************
6: Battles
*************************

When a battle first starts, the name of the enemy is displayed. At the beginning of each of your turns, your stats (along
with the enemy's stats) will be shown. Pressing enter will start the battle, and a list of commands is displayed.

Attack will attack the enemy, doing damage equal to your AT. There is a chance of a critical hit.
Magic brings you to a list of spells you can use.
Resting will increase your MP by a number equal to your IN.
Defending will reduce the attacks of your enemies to 0 until the end of the turn.
Stats will display the stats screen (shown at the beginning of each turn).

Here is a list of the spells you can use, their costs, and their effects. If you do not have enough MP to use a spell, it
will not work and you will be sent back to choose a different action.

NAME: COST: EFFECT:

Freeze 10 Your weapon emits a freezing ray. Deals damage equal to your AT+IN.

Blaze 5+X A wave of fire burns the enemy. Deals damage equal to X+IN. (You choose X.)

Cutter 100 A cutter blade slashes through the enemy. Deals damage equal to your IN squared.

Heal 5+X You gain X+IN HP. (You choose X.)

Magic Boost 50 Your IN is increased depending on which area you are in. The more powerful the enemies are, the more IN you gain.
                    The increase is permanent.

A Critical Hit will double the damage that would be dealt. Enemies can also hit you with Critical Hits.

After you choose an action, watch it unfold. Then the enemy will act. It can:

Attack you. You take damage. You can dodge this randomly, and you will not take damage. Can be defended from.
Sometimes the enemy will get a Critical hit. Can be defended from.
Attack your MP. This depletes your magic points. Can be defended from.
Heal itself. It will regain some HP.

7: Hints and Tips
*************************

The game will save automatically. To continue, just choose Continue instead of New game. This will bring you to the point
where you last saved.

Training is the key to winning. Train early and often. The enemies get much stronger in each mission, so you need to be
prepared.

Be prepared for a BIG surprise after you kill the Dark Lord. Just don't pee your pants. Ever play the game "Earthbound"
on the SNES?

For the best experience possible, try not to cheat in this game.
